The Scriptures

We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete, inspired Word of God, verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit through human authors. Scripture is inerrant in the original writings, infallible, sufficient, and the final authority for faith and life. God’s Word is complete and provides everything necessary for salvation and godly living.

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity shares the same divine essence yet fulfills distinct roles in God’s redemptive work. God is holy, sovereign, just, merciful, and worthy of all worship.

God the Father

We believe God the Father is the sovereign Creator and ruler of all things. He lovingly governs creation and redemption according to His perfect will and purpose. Through His grace, He adopts those who trust in Jesus Christ as His children and lovingly cares for them as their heavenly Father.

God the Son

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man while remaining fully God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life and perfectly revealed the Father. Through His representative and substitutionary death on the cross, He accomplished redemption for sinners. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the righthand of the Father, and now intercedes as our High Priest and Advocate. He will return personally, visibly, and in glory to gather His church and establish His kingdom.

God the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who glorifies Christ and applies the work of salvation to believers. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells every believer, seals them for redemption, and empowers them for holy living and service. He distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.

Mankind

We believe God created humanity, male and female, in His image. Through Adam’s sin all humanity fell into sin and became separated from God. As a result, every person is a sinner by birth, nature, choice, and practice and stands under God’s righteous judgment apart from salvation in Christ.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Christ died as the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners and rose again to provide forgiveness and new life. Those who repent and believe are regenerated, justified, adopted into God’s family, and kept secure in Christ. True salvation results in a transformed life that perseveres in faith.

The Church

We believe the universal church is composed of all believers united to Christ. Local churches gather for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. Christ has appointed elders and deacons to lead and serve the church. The ordinances of the church are believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Marriage and Sexuality

We believe marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church. Sexual intimacy is intended only within this covenant. All sexual activity outside of biblical marriage is sinful, though forgiveness and restoration are offered through repentance and faith in Christ.

Creation

We believe God created the universe and all life in six literal days and that all things were made by His direct act according to their kinds. We reject naturalistic explanations of origins and affirm the historical reality of the global flood in Noah’s day as an act of God’s judgment and grace.

Last Things

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His church, the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the future reign of Christ on earth, and the final judgment of all people. The redeemed will dwell eternally with God, while the unrepentant will experience eternal punishment.
